Pregnancy Pilates
Navigating the journey of motherhood requires care and strength, and our tailored Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates classes are here to support you every step of the way. In our Prenatal sessions, you’ll focus on building deep core strength, alleviate common pregnancy aches, and preparing your body for childbirth in a way that feels both empowering and soothing. It’s also your time to focus on you - physically and mentally. Following the arrival of your baby, our Postnatal Pilates helps you gently rebuild your core, regain stability, and nurture your body as it heals. With personalized guidance and a community of moms, we’ll help you stay strong, connected, and energized during this transformative time.
The Journey
Our prenatal and postnatal series is designed to run for 4, 6 or 8 weeks at a time, making it simpler to exercise with the same group for a set period of time and build community. We take our members’ health seriously. Please note that if you are 12+ weeks pregnant, you can ONLY attend prenatal sessions. We encourage you to talk to our team before registering if you have any concerns or questions. Our 6-week series run periodically. If you don't see the prenatal classes listed on our schedule, please contact us regarding the upcoming start date. Additionally, we offer private appointments as an option for those who do not wish to wait for the next series to begin.
These sessions are tailored to provide safe and functional movement through all stages of pregnancy. As soon as you've bought your pass, it's valid for booking your reformer pilates sessions. Book directly on the schedule here. The prenatal term will run for 6 weeks at a time, with the schedule set at a particular time each week, for consistency. The exercises will be modified progressively each week, accommodating where you are (trimester and energy levels) and addressing any pregnancy-related discomfort you may be experiencing e.g back pain. We ask that you check with your medical practitioner to ensure it is safe to exercise. The best part about it is connecting with other new moms 🤰🏻
Once you have given birth and feel ready to exercise again, we’re here to offer postnatal Reformer Pilates sessions. We ask that before booking the first class after the birth of your child, that you check with your medical practitioner to ensure you are well enough to exercise. Our Postnatal Reformer Pilates sessions will help you gently ease back into rebuilding your core, regaining stability, and nurturing your body as it recovers. With personalised guidance from our experienced instructors and a supportive community of mothers who are at the same stage as you, we're committed to helping you stay strong, connected, and energised. Unfortunately, our sessions are for moms only, no babies are allowed to join. Our postnatal series is designed to run for 6 weeks at a time. This will help you find a routine and you will be able to exercise with the same group of members so you can support each other and build a community with other mothers during this time. 👩🏼🍼
At six months, your little one is probably starting to recognise faces, trying to communicate with you and will soon be crawling (or the infamous bum shuffle)! If you feel ready to get back to our standard Reformer Pilates sessions, we hope you’ll check with your medical practitioner first, to ensure you are well enough to exercise. You can ease yourself back into these sessions at whatever level you feel most comfortable with. We know that pregnancy brings about massive change in your body and that getting back into the swing of things can take time! Don’t worry though, we'll advise on the ideal membership option for you, based on desired weekly cadence. We have memberships for both group sessions and private/duet sessions. Members also get better rates per session and multiple perks. See below.
